Paul Pearce - IICRC President
IICRC President Paul Pearce is a Master Cleaner, Restorer and Instructor and owns Country House Carpet Care in the United Kingdom. He started his career in 1973 and has remained focused on the cleaning of the indoor environment. He has written numerous articles, spoken internationally and cleaned for many well known and respected prestigious clients.
Pearce is a Past President of the National Carpet Cleaners Association (NCAA) and the current Technical Director. He is also a Past Chairman of the British Cleaning Council.
His teaching experience started 24 years ago when he assisted in the training programs of the NCCA. Pearce was the first IICRC approved instructor outside the USA in the following certifications:
- Carpet Cleaning
- Upholstery Cleaning & Commercial Carpet Maintenance
He also teaches Spot & Stain Cleaning, various hands on programs in carpet, upholstery, leather, curtain cleaning and Oriental rug cleaning.
As a Woolsafe Certified Carpet Inspector, Pearce is qualified to inspect the UK's carpets with reference cleaning, manufacture & installation.
Country House Carpet Care now involves the cleaning of carpets and upholstery, both domestic and commercial, inspections related to cleaning or installation of carpets, consulting with regards to cleaning programs and teaching the skill of cleaning carpets, curtains, rugs, upholstery, spot & stain removal, and indoor air quality to various organizations as well as individuals.

Tom has been involved
with the IICRC since
its inception in 1972
and holds the first
registrant number. He
is also a past president
and past treasurer of
the organization.

in 1991 (IICRC S001-now
S100) as a technical
contributor and has
been involved with all
of the IICRC standards
in his role as IICRC
executive administrator.
In addition to his
current roles with the
IICRC is President of
Kenway Consultants,
Inc., the IICRC administrative
services contractor.
He is also head of the
Vancouver, Washington
based consulting firm
of T.Hill & Associates,
whose clients include
carpet manufacturers,
fiber producers, cleaning
equipment manufacturers,
trade associations,
and professional cleaning
and restoration companies.
Tom has published
over 200 technical articles
in 5 countries and is
a monthly contributor
to Installation and
Cleaning Specialist
Magazine.
Tom graduated from
the University of California
at Davis with a bachelor’s
degree in Psychology.
