IICRC Board Chooses 2006 Executive Committee

VANCOUVER, Wash. – November 15, 2005 – The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (www.iicrc.org) elected its 2006 Executive Committee during its Board of Directors’ meeting on October 24 in Vancouver, WA.

All officers of the seven-member committee were re-elected to serve another year. Returning to the Executive Committee for 2006 is: President and Chairman, Carey Vermeulen; Ruth Travis, 1st Vice President; Darrel Paulson, 2nd Vice President; International Vice President, Paul Pearce; Secretary, Mike Reed; Treasurer, Ed Hobbs; and Certification Council, Chair Joe Dobbins. The new committee term began on October 24.

“The wealth of experience and commitment represented by this committee to the industries and registrants this organization serves is tremendous,” said Chairman Carey Vermeulen. “The IICRC is on pace to become the premier resource not only for professionals, but also for property owners looking for qualified service providers. We have achieved ANSI accreditation and have become the exclusive provider of services for Shaw Industries warranted carpet products effective in 2008. The next year will offer equally exciting opportunities. We look forward to helping our registrants grow their businesses.”

Vermeulen is entering his third term as Chairman and is a 22-year veteran of the cleaning and restoration industry. He is the former chairman of the Upholstery Cleaning TAC, chairman of the S300 Upholstery Cleaning Standard and is an IICRC Master Textile Cleaner and Master Fire and Smoke Restorer.
